Principal's Message

Welcome to Catherine Kolnaski STEAM Magnet School (CKMS).  Catherine Kolnaski is one of Groton's intradistrict magnet schools.  Our students range from kindergarten to fifth grade and we presently serve approximately 350 students.   In addition to students from our district zone, we accept magnet students from all of Groton's districts.  Our magnet focus is STEAM--science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics--STEM +Arts.

We are extremely proud of programs and services offered at CKMS:

• Computer science (coding) & robotics K-5
• 3D printing design lab
• Engineering units K-5
• Expanded arts opportunities
• Family Resource Center - support for our families with preschool - elementary age children
• Treehouse at CK - before and after-school childcare & summer care
• School-Based Health Clinic (SBHC) - Child & Family Agency nurse practitioner & mental health worker
