Robotics

All students at Catherine Kolnaski STEAM Magnet School participate in robotics experiences and instruction. Our goal is to provide STEM opportunities to students at a very young age to tap into student interests and skills.  Our hope is that through early exposure all of our students will demonstrate proficiency in STEM subjects and that many will choose to study STEM subjects in later years and pursue careers in STEM fields.

Scope & Sequence

K - Lego Machines & STEAM Park, Dash & Dot Coding, Kibo Robots

1st Grade - Introduction to Lego Robotics with WeDo 2.0

2nd Grade - Advanced Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics

3rd Grade - Lego Robotics with Spike Prime Essentials

4th Grade - Building & Programming Lego EV3 Mindstorms

5th Grade - Building, Programming, and Solving Missions with Lego Spike Prime
